Professor Dr. Hussein Y. Naim is the General Manager of VACCINUM. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Bern-Switzerland and accomplished his expertise at the University of Texas at Dallas. He held Faculty positions at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and the Institute of Molecular Biology of the University of Zurich. His laboratory developed the first genetically engineered live attenuated recombinant virus vector and transferred this technology (including training) in Europe and the USA.
Dr. Naim also held the Director of Vaccine Research position at Berna Biotech and Crucell, Switzerland. Dr. Naim was invited to join several International Universities as a Guest Professor. He is a well-known expert in various fields of translational research and lectured at prominent Universities and Scientific Conferences on Novel Biotechnologies, Vaccines and Gene Therapy using viruses.
Dr. Naim was awarded several competitive grants from the EU and the NIH. He served and is serving on the reviewing boards of several National and International Health Authorities such as the WHO, EU and Swiss Medical Authority.
